VIRGINIA – Police officer shot, killed on first day on the job in Woodbridge

A domestic dispute in Woodbridge, Virginia turned into two deadly shootings. Army Sgt. Ronald Hamilton, 32, opened fire, killing officer Ashley Guindon, 28, as she approached the front door of his Prince William County home. The dispute began Saturday when Hamilton had been arguing with his wife Crystal.  The fight escalated as she called 911. Hamilton shot and killed his wife and the arriving officers. He fatally shot Guindon, injured two other officers and soon after surrendered at his front door. The couple’s 11-year old son was present and found unharmed. Hamilton is charged with capital murder, first-degree murder and malicious wounding pending a Monday morning arraignment.
