A food pantry in Virginia is in dire need of food and toy donations for the holidays.
The House of Mercy in Manassas, Virginia has had an influx of donations since its public outcry for assistance.
Kellie Ross, who runs the food pantry, says, “I can tell you that the demand for toys is high and the donations are down.”
The House of Mercy will be hosting its toy drive on December 14 and Ross says, “We estimate that there will be 1,200 kids. It’s our largest program ever…We absolutely need more toys.”
Donations for the food pantry can be dropped off at the House of Mercy or at any one of the donation drop boxes around Manassas.
