VA mom sentenced after death of baby

A Virginia mother will face three years in prison after giving her 6-month-old son a lethal dosage of Benadryl. The thirty-two-year old, Tristan Goodwill, received her sentencing Monday at Louisa County Circuit Court, after she pleaded guilty for involuntary manslaughter and felony child neglect. Prosecutors say that the emergency crew reported the infant had died from sudden infant death, but lab results show the death was a result for the the lethal amount of Benadryl in the baby’s system. Goodwill will also be doing an additional year in jail for violating her probation.
