Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal collision between a motorcycle and a Washington County Sheriff’s Office vehicle. On Tuesday afternoon, Dennis D. Ford, 37, of Bristol, was killed when his motorcycle crossed the center line while coming through a sharp curve on Route 665 near the intersection of Route 911 and collided with a marked sheriff’s SUV. The motorcycle spun out on its side and slid backwards into the SUV. There were two deputies who were not injured in the SUV who performed CRP until a rescue squad arrived. Ford was pronounced dead at the scene.
