Man poses as officer to rob a home

Police are looking for an armed man who posed as an officer with an intent to rob a home in Stafford County. On Tuesday night, residents were alarmed when a uniformed man knocked on their door saying he had some news to deliver. The man then held the couple at gunpoint and told them to stay put while he moved around the house. The couple was able to escape their home and called police from their neighbors home. The police described the man as white, between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet, has short dark hair, weighs between 250 and 285 pounds and is between 35 and 45 years old.
