Lawyers argue teen sex video does not warrant child pornography charges

Three Virginia teenagers charged with possession and distribution of child porn are fighting back. The boys, whose ages are between 14 and 16, acknowledge taking the videos in question and to showing them to friends, but say that they were never uploaded to the internet. Lawyers for the boys have also said that the videos clearly show the girls’ consent to both the sexual acts and the camera. Rod Leffler is the defense attorney for one of the boys; he argues that this is merely a case of consensual teen sex filmed with a smartphone and does not warrant child pornography charges.

The teenagers involved  attend West Springfield High School in northern Virginia. An attorney representing Fairfax County has said that the girls pictured in the films will not be charged.
