Governor McDonnell in northern Virginia for bill signing
Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell is heading to northern Virginia on Tuesday to sign legislation favored by the region’s influential technology community. The legislation McDonnell will sign includes an extension of a tax credit to support telework and an expansion of a legislation exempting data centers from sales tax.
The governor will also cut the ribbon on Tuesday for the tech firm Acentia, which decided to open a new corporate headquarters in Virginia this year and employs 1,200 people. The headquarters of Acentia will be in the Fairview Park section of Fairfax County.
