Bomb explodes at Treasury inspector general’s VA home

A pipe-bomb exploded at the Treasury Department’s inspector general’s home in Fairfax County, Virginia. The pipe-bomb destroyed a mailbox at the home of Eric M. Thorson around midnight on Monday, but no one was hurt in the explosion. Police are still investigating the incident, but do not have reason to believe it had anything to do with his work with the Treasury.
