Three victims have been identified from the hot balloon that went down in flames last Friday evening. The two passengers were members of the University of Richmond’s basketball coaching staff, and the pilot, Daniel Kirk had more than 20 years experience. Kirk, reportedly, tried everything he could to save the balloon and passengers. Witnesses, who allegedly looked on as the balloon crashed, heard screams of help and watch as passengers either jumped or fell out of the balloon. The three victims including director of basketball operations Natalie Lewis and associate head coach Ginny Doyle, were remembered during the University of Richmond’s graduation ceremonies that took place during the weekend.
