Police are currently investigating why a 3-year-old girl was left outside of an in-home day care in Arlington on Monday in the cold rain without any socks, shoes, or a jacket. Parveen Ahmed, the day care operator, was apologetic when asked what happened. However, police say Ahmed was unwilling to cooperate with them and tried to leave claiming everything was under control. The girl was alone for approximately 30 to 60 minutes. The same day care was investigated by the county in December and was found with several violations which Ahmed corrected.
