Willams wins 2nd French Open title

Serena Williams won the French Open Championship on Saturday, defeating defending champion Maria Sharapova and winning her second title in the Open. After playing with a strong defense, Williams won in the final match against Sharapova with a score of 6-4. Williams won her first Grand Open in 2002.

She lost the French Open last year in the only first-round loss in a Grand Slam of her career. Williams said, “It’s all about, for me, how you recover. I think I’ve always said a champion isn’t about how much they win, but it’s about how they recover from their downs, whether it’s an injury or whether it’s a loss.”
