A water main break in Los Angeles on Tuesday sent millions of gallons of water out onto Sunset Boulevard and the campus of the University of California in Los Angeles. An estimated of 8 to 10 million gallons of water fills the campus grounds, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. School officials said that they would continue to assess the damage to Pauley Pavilion and other structures that were affected. The school is open for business Wednesday, but much of Sunset Boulevard remains closed. Many people fled the area, while some students took advantage of the watery land and went boogie-boarding.
