Texans releases 16 assistant coaches

Over the past few days, the Houston Texans have fired 16 assistant coaches since hiring Coach Bill O’Brien. Among those let go are both offensive and defensive coordinators Rick Dennnison and Wade Phillips.

Bill Kollar is the only assistant coach keeping his job, as the Texans defensive line coach. Other coaches released from the team are as follows: Perry Carter, Karl Dorrell, Dan Hammerschmidt, Chick Harris, Reggie Herring, Vance Joseph, Bobby King, Larry Kirksey, Marc Lubick, Brian Pariani, Jim Ryan, Matt Schiotz, Cedric Smith, and Jeff Zgonina.
