Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder dropped his lawsuit against Washington City paper and one of its writers, Dave McKenna. The defamation lawsuit had been in response to a Nov. 19 cover story, “The Cranky Redskins Fan’s Guide to Dan Snyder,” where Snyder claims he was libeled.
Snyder dropped the suit, and both parties released a statement Saturday night announcing the news, though their interpretations of events remained divided. Snyder says he now prefers to focus on the team since the season is underway.
