Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy announced Thursday that quarterback Aaron Rogers will start Sunday’s NFC North title game against the Chicago Bears. “It’s time for Aaron to play,” McCarthy said. “I’m excited. I feel good for Aaron. I don’t think people understand the stress that he’s been under. We were holding him out of the game, and that’s tough. That’s a tough thing to go through, especially at this extent. Especially with Aaron Rodgers, we’re talking about the best player in football. Yeah, I feel good about it.”
After an injury to his collarbone, Rogers has been unable to return until now. “You know we have a chance against our rivals, and what a better way than to go down there and get some redemption and host a home playoff game,” Rodgers said.
