Bennett is NBA’s first pick

Anthony Bennett, a freshman at the University of Nevada was chosen first in the NBA draft on Thursday. He will be joining the Cleveland Cavaliers, taking first-overall honors from about four other possible first picks. He recently had surgery on his shoulder, leaving him unable to work out for teams.

Other picks included Trey Burke, who went to the Utah Jazz, and Victor Oladipo, who was acquired by the Orlando Magic. The Wizards also traded their 38th and 54th pick to the 76ers for Glen Rice Jr.
