A super political group is aiming to raise $55 million for Republican candidate Texas Gov. Rick perry to help him secure the G.O.P. presidential nomination. The new super political action committee, called “Make Us Great Again,” confirmed that the money they will raise will most likely eclipse the amount of money Perry would raise on his own.
The SuperPAC is being run by one of Perry’s former aides and plans to raise the money through March 2012. SuperPACs can raise unlimited amounts of money in support of a candidate.
