Romney calls his 47% remark “completely wrong”
While not technically apologize, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney stated in an interview on Fox News that his notorious “47%” remark at a private fundraiser was wrong. “Clearly,” Romney stated, “in a campaign with hundreds if not thousands of speeches and question-and-answer sessions, now and then you are going to say something that doesn’t come out right. In this case I said something that’s just completely wrong…When I become president, it will be about helping the 100%.” Romney is enjoying a 51% approval rate in the wake of his performance at the first presidential debate, while Obama is touting a 56% approval rating among perspective voters.
