Politics – Sanders wont end campaign but vows to help Clinton defeat Trump

Donald Trump has upended efforts to unify the Republican Party Wednesday when he insinuated that he did not need help from the GOP’s elite at all. In response, party members who had been slowly showing their support for Trump started to turn the other way and revoked their endorsements. They are even considering ways to prevent Trump from becoming the nominee at the Republican National Convention. “We have to have our Republicans either stick together, or let me just do it by myself. I’ll do very well,” Trump said. “A lot of people thought I should do that anyway, but I’ll just do it very nicely by myself.” “I don’t think you can go around the country saying that we need to keep people out of the country based solely on their religious belief and expect to be president of the United States,” Senator Lamar Alexander said Wednesday. “But hopefully he’ll change that.”
