POLITICS – Sanders victorious in 3 states, Clinton retains delegate lead

Democratic nominee Bernie Sanders won three states in the Western caucus contest this past weekend. Sanders won the states of Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii, giving him an opportunity to close the gap on Hillary Clinton’s lead. In recent weeks, Clinton seemingly anticipated her defeat of Sanders and did not campaign heavily in the three states. She is now focusing on April 19^th were New York is up for grabs.  Clinton is favored to win in New York where she served as senator.
