According to CNN projections, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has won the Wyoming caucuses. Republicans in Wyoming have held caucuses and cast votes in straw polls in 22 of the state’s 23 counties throughout the month of February. On Wednesday evening, the last county, Sweetwater County, held its caucuses. The Republican Party of Wyoming reported Romney won 39 percent of the straw vote, while Republican presidential candidates Rick Santorum had 33 percent, Ron Paul 20 percent, and Newt Gingrich 8 percent.

Of the state’s 26 delegates, Romney won 10 delegates, Santorum 9, Paul 6, and Gingrich 1. Just over 2,000 people caucused this year in Wyoming, the state with the nation’s smallest population with just over 500,000 residents. The Wyoming caucuses are Romney’s third win this week. Romney also won the Arizona and Michigan primaries on Tuesday evening. According to the latest CNN delegate estimates, Romney and Santorum will equally share the 30 Michigan delegates at stake. Romney’s win in Michigan will remain because he received more overall votes, 41 percent.
