Herman Cain leading in GOP poll

A new poll suggests Herman Cain may be the man to beat, pulling in 27 percent of voters in the NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. Mitt Romney got 23 percent and Perry 16. To highlight the changing political atmosphere, a previous poll conducted had Perry with 38 percent, Romney with 23 and Cain with 5. The new survey indicated that Cain has a high “Positivity Intensity Score,” which measures the enthusiasm voters have for a candidate

The poll results were not entirely conclusive, with another poll released the same day showing Romney still leading by four percentage points. Discrepancies in polling can be attributed to several factors, such as the sample pool surveyed, as well as the methodology used for obtaining the data.
