Elizabeth Warren challenges Scott Brown in Senate race

Former Obama administration official and Harvard Law professor Elizabeth Warren has announced her plans to run against Sen. Scott Brown in 2012’s Senate race. Warren continues her tour of Massachusetts, listening to the issues people are currently facing and discussing with her committee how these could be addressed. She currently has the backing of the Massachusetts’ Nurses Association.

Warren is expected to be a frontrunner in polls. She is the most well-known of her other Democratic challengers, and a recent poll showed her only nine points behind Brown.
