Christie not pursuing GOP nomination

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie made the decision not to run for president in 2012, citing it as not the right time. He said he received pressure that had him considering a White House bid, but that ultimately he is committed to his responsibilities in the Garden State. On his final decision, Christie said he does not “feel any sense of regret at all.” He debunked rumors that his family was skeptical, saying they supported him regardless of his decision.

Christie went on to say his decision was not affected by the current GOP presidential field, and that he was not prepared to make an endorsement yet. Christie also dismissed the possibility that he would get the Vice Presidential nomination, saying “I don’t think I have the personality to be asked.”
