On Tuesday, shots were fired at the Renown Regional Medical Center campus in Reno, Nevada, leaving two people dead and two others injured. Reno Police Department Deputy Chief Tom Robinson reported that one of the deceased persons is the shooter. “We have two people confirmed deceased in the building, two others injured,” Robinson said.

Dr. Charles Gholdoian, 46, was fatally shot by the suspect whose name has not yet been released, and Shawntae Spears, 20, was injured. Another female victim was also injured, but her identity has not been released either. Reno resident Daranda Cone witnessed the woman shortly after the attack. “I saw this woman with blood all over her being rushed past me to the ER,” Cone said.

Reno Police Deputy Chief Mac Venzon stated in a press conference that the shooter walked into the building around 2:45p.m., fired five rounds, and quickly turned the gun on himself. Venzon added that from the details collected thus far, it seems that the shooting was “not a random event.”
