Family, friends celebrate fallen soldiers as heroes

Family and friends remember the 30 fallen Americans who died tragically on Friday, August 5 after a U.S. military helicopter was shot down in Eastern Afghanistan. Those that celebrate their life, remember them as heroes, dedicated to their family and friends but above all, dedicated to their country. Sergeant Patrick Hamburger, whose family confirmed his death, was planning on proposing to his girlfriend when the mission was over. The U.S. military has yet to reveal the rest of the soldiers who died in the crash, but each one has a story like Hamburger. Said Chris Hamburger, brother to Patrick, “He didn’t have to go, and he wanted to go because his group was getting deployed. He wanted to be there for them. That’s him for you.”
