Facebook is tracking you

Facebook is monitoring internet activity even when you are not logged into its website. By using the Facebook Connect option, Facebook can go to any site and give options to like or share something. The problem with that is it allows Facebook to monitor and track your internet history— even if you didn’t click on any like button.  “For this to work, a person only needs to have logged into Facebook or Twitter once in the past month. The sites will continue to collect browsing data, even if the person closes their browser or turns off their computers” reported the Wall Street Journal.

Some options to stop Facebook from collecting browsing history include Do Not Track Plus, Ghostery, Disconnect for Chrome, and Evidon. Do Not Track Plus tracks any monitoring and blocks it when found. Ghostery does a similar thing, with over 10 million users a month. Disconnect is an add on that any Google Chrome user can use, and Evidon helps companies with privacy information.
