Robert O’Neill, 38, from Montana, has revealed himself as the Navy SEAL who fired the shot that killed Osama bin Laden in May, 2011. O’Neill was at the front of the forces that invaded bin Laden’s Pakistan hideout, reports the Washington Post. The identity of the SEALs involved was supposed to be kept secret, but O’Neill was planning on revealing himself in interviews next week with Fox and The Post. In protest of his decision, a website run by former SEAL members, SOFREP, revealed him pre-emptively.
