Two adults have been arrested in connection with the theft and damage to an Anne Arundel County school bus Tuesday. The bus had been parked in a lot in Crownsville, and after a four-hour search, was eventually found in a rural area in Davidsonville. When found, the bus was heavily damaged from hitting a communication tower and crashing through a wooded area. There is also evidence that the suspects broke windows and attempted to set the bus on fire. Travis Edward Champagne, 24, of Crownsville and Nicole Jo-Ann Adams, 24, of Davidsonville have been arrested and charged with the crime. Police say the two alleged thieves appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and took the bus to look for change with which to buy cigarettes. They have been charged with first-degree burglary, theft over $100,000, destruction of property over $100,000 and attempted arson.
