It is expected that the likely insanity plea by Brittany Norwood, the suspect in the Lululemon yoga store murder of Jayna Murray, will be rejected by the court. According to court documents, Norwood denied having mental health problems when question by police and hospital workers following the crime.

The Montgomery County’s State’s Attorney’s Office stated that they were unaware of any evidence that proves Norwood was ever seen at a mental institution or treated for mental health. Norwood initially told police she and Murray had been sexually assaulted and tied up before Murray was murdered. Police found that her story was false and charged Norwood with first degree murder.
