Smoking ban on county property in MoCo

Councilwoman Nancy Floreen (D-At large) has seen her bill through to fruition in Montgomery County, Maryland. The County Council voted Tuesday to ban smoking on county property. The ban will include all county parks, bus stops, recreation centers, and outside county buildings. Montgomery County has already outlawed smoking in bars and inside public buildings, Councilwomsan Floreen says this newest ban is just another step towards preventing harmful second-hand smoke related illnesses and discomfort. Those caught smoking on county property will be issued a fine.
