Prince George inmates to receive high school diplomas

Seventeen inmates in Prince George County are receiving their high school diplomas.

County Executive Rushern Baker III is scheduled to address the inmates, who will be given diplomas Thursday morning in a housing unit of Upper Marlboro jail.

In order to graduate, inmates must take part in an 8-week program to prepare for a test administered by the Department of Corrections. The inmates who have graduated completed the tests in March and May.
