Prince George’s County Schools will be debuting a “Think Before You Link” program Tuesday, in an effort to teach young children about how to use the internet safely. The program was created in connection with the National Cyber Security Alliance, and includes three, 45 minute projects for students to work through. Lori McFarling, of Discovery Education, the company that provides the software, says the program is designed to help “kids to become confident, safe, digital citizens.” A 2013 Pew Internet Project survey found that 90 percent of youths aged 12 to 17 have easy access to a computer.
