Maryland councilman charged with failing to file tax return

Daryl D. Jones, an Anne Arundel County councilman has been charged in federal court with failing to file a tax return. According to court records, Jones, a Democrat, received a gross income of $244,365 in 2005 and did not file a tax return before April 17, 2006 deadline. Jones was charged in a U.S. District Court Tuesday. Jones, of Severn, is serving his second term as councilman which ends in 2014.
