The Prince George County Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a man in Hillcrest Heights. The shooting has been characterized as domestic violence.
On Sunday morning, 22-year-old Jerome Peters was killed shortly after midnight. Police were called to the 2900 block of St. Claire Drive and found Peters suffering from gun shot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, Peters was at a relative’s home taking care of his child when the child’s mother and another man entered the house. An argument ensued between the two men and Peters was shot.
