Lost dog reunited with Md. owner

0

Wendy Love was reunited with Kiddo, her akita mix, after more than three years of believing him lost. Kiddo was found in Culpeper, more than 100 miles from Love’s home in Gaithersburg, Md. Kiddo disappeared in 2008 when Love left him with a sitter to go on vacation. Culpeper County Animal Control picked Kiddo up, believing him to be a stray. They discovered a microchip implanted in him, and set about reuniting him with his owner.

Microchip technology has been responsible for reuniting many lost pets with their owners. Recently, it helped Willow the cat reunite with her owners after five years and a cross-country journey.
