Leader of cocaine ring gets 14 years in prison

A Hollywood man, who police say led a cocaine distribution ring in St. Mary’s County, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Brian Deandre Bush, 43, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine. On Tuesday, Bush was sentenced in federal court.

According to sources, Bush obtained cocaine from in-state and out-of-state places; the cocaine was then smuggled into St. Mary’s County.

Prosecutors say Bush was responsible for distributing between five and 15 kilograms of cocaine and between 280 grams and 840 grams of crack cocaine.
