A person suspected of driving under the influence was arrested Friday morning after crashing into a police cruiser.
The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. in Laurel, Maryland.
According to police the driver was speeding down the road in the wrong direction when they hit the officer’s car. The officer was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The person driving the car was not injured.
The driver was taken into custody and is facing charges.
