Vera Wang splits with husband of 23 years

Bridal designer Vera Wang and her husband, Arthur Becker, have separated after 23 years of marriage. Wang, 63, declined to comment on the separation, but her company’s president, Mario Grauso, confirmed the news saying, they “have mutually and amicably agreed to separate. They remain devoted parents to their two daughters.” The pair, who got married in 1989 at New York City’s Pierre Hotel, have daughters Cecilia and Josephine together.

Becker, a former stockbroker at Bear Stearns & Co., works closely with Wang’s famed company, which now includes makeup, fragrances and home goods. According to a family friend, “They will not let this impact the running of the company … They have worked too hard to build it up.” Wang has created wedding gowns for Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys, Victoria Beckham, Jessica Simpson, Chelsea Clinton, Kim Kardashian, Kate Hudson, Ivanka Trump, Sarah Michelle Gellar and many others.
