The cast of “Modern Family” has come to an agreement and will return to work. Following stormy salary and contract negotiations, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ed O’Neill, Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara of the ABC show have closed deals that will afford them raises from their $65,000-per-episode payday.

On Friday, the actors dropped a lawsuit they filed July 24 that claimed their current contracts were a violation of a California law, which prohibits personal service contracts from exceeding seven years. Although 20th Century Fox requested the actors add two years to their seven-season contract, the actors agreed on only one additional year. Still, co-creator Steven Levitan said, “It’s no surprise, but I’m of course thrilled and I cannot wait to get on stage Monday morning and start making the show again.”
