Actors Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs have announced that they are breaking up.
The two were married in 2003 and have a son, Walker, who was born in 2009. The couple dated for seven years prior to getting married.
Their publicist confirmed the split Thursday stating that the break-up was “jointly decided” and their “primary focus and concern is for their son.”
The couple met while playing in the off-Broadway feature “Rent.”
Menzel and Diggs, both 42, have both appeared in film and stage roles. Menzel’s film resume includes “Rent” and “Enchanted,” while Diggs has starred in movies such as “How Stella Got Her Groove Back” and the recent “The Best Man Holiday.”
