Singer Sheryl Crow granted temporary restraining order

Singer Sheryl Crow has been granted a temporary restraining order against a man who publicly threatened to shoot her. The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter wrote in a sworn statement July 24 that she was afraid of Phillip Gordon Sparks, who claims Crow has stolen money from him and broken into his house. She also states Sparks recently told a worker at an entertainment union that he was going to “just shoot” her.

The “If It Makes You Happy” and “Every Day is a Winding Road” singer obtained the order last week. The restraining order also covers several family members, staffers and her two young sons. It requires Sparks to stay 100 yards away from Crow and her family.
