In the wake of a mega scandal in which former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted to fathering a child out of wedlock, Schwarzenegger’s daughter Katherine, 21, had thoughts of changing her name. According to Katherine, the eldest daughter of Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, she was always surrounded by paparazzi and the obligation to act as perfect as possible lest it ruin her father’s political career. Said Katherine, “It could have ruined my father’s career if I was caught drunk driving or something like that.”
Katharine also mentioned struggles in college and the hardships of having a famous name. “I thought of changing it because, especially for dating, it’s impossible,” Katharine said.
