Sage Stallone dies at 36

Sage Stallone, the son of action movie star Sylvester Stallone, was found dead on Friday at his home in Hollywood. The 36-year-old Stallone, who was himself an aspiring actor and filmmaker, is believed to have died from an apparent drug overdose.

Attorney George Braunstein said the “Rocky V” actor and “Vic” director’s lifeless body was discovered by a housekeeper. “There was some concern that his family and friends hadn’t heard from him in the past day, and that’s why the housekeeper went over there and opened up the house,” the lawyer said. “It’s a tragedy. He was a young, talented extremely good filmmaker and a lovely person.” According to TMZ, Sage’s room was “littered with junk,” including cigarette butts, beer cans and food. A law enforcement source adds that Sage’s room was “disgusting” and reeked of various odors.

Stallone’s famed father released a statement saying, “Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken … His compassion and thoughts are with Sage’s mother, Sasha. Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man. His loss will be felt forever.” Stallone is survived by his two parents, one brother and three half-sisters.
