Reese Witherspoon struck by car while jogging

Actress Reese Witherspoon, who won an Oscar for her role in “Walk the Line”, was hit by a car on Wednesday morning in Los Angeles while jogging. The car was driven by an 84-year-old woman, going at about 20 mph. Witherspoon suffered minor injuries, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Santa Monica police Sgt. Richard Lewis says the accident resulted from the driver failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
