Quvenzhané Wallis to star as Annie

The world’s youngest Oscar nominee, Quvenzhané Wallis, has been given the role to play Annie in an upcoming remake of the film. Sony’s president, Hannah Minghella raved about Wallis as a triple treat who all audiences should get to know. Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith will be producing the film along with help from companies owned by Jay-Z. The film is scheduled to be released in the winter of 2014.
