Obama will hold a private screening of “1600 Penn” in the White House

President Barack Obama is planning to hold a private screening of the NBC series “1600 Penn” in the White House along with the show’s cast and crew. The series is a comedy show about a dysfunctional first family. Co-created by Jon Lovett, a former speechwriter for Obama, “1600 Penn” stars Bill Pullman as U.S. President Dale Gilchrist and Jenna Elfman as his first lady. It is named after the official street address of the White House; 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. “We really wanted to dissect what it meant to be a family in the most extraordinary of circumstances – and what’s more extraordinary than being the first family?” co-creator Josh Gad told reporters last month.
