NBC to send winning contestant into space

NBC announced Thursday the network’s plans to send the winner of a new game show into outer space.

The new competition show “Space Race” is the project of television producer of NBC’s “The Voice”, Mark Burnett, along with Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic.

Virgin’s aircraft will act as the shuttle by which the winner takes their space ride.
