‘Modern Family’ star removed from mother’s custody

Fourteen year old Ariel Winter Workman, star of the hit television series “Modern Family” has been removed from her mother’s custody following allegations in court of physical and emotional abuse. The actress’ adult sister is now seeking permanent custody of her. Police have confirmed an active investigation into the allegations is underway. Her mother, Chrisoula Workman is being accused of slapping, hitting, pushing, verbally abusing and personally insulting her daughter. She is also suspected of depriving her daughter of food for extended periods of time to increase he sex appeal. Chrisoula adamantly denies all of the allegations. Ariel’s 32-year-old brother, Jimmy Workman, has also denied that their mother is abusive.
