‘M*A*S*H’ Star Harry Morgan dies at 96

Harry Morgan, the actor best known for his role as Colonel Potter in the war comedy “M*A*S*H”, died Wednesday morning in his Los Angeles home at the age of 96. Morgan was a versatile actor who starred in more than 100 movies, and was known for his distinctive character roles. In addition to “M*A*S*H,” he was also remembered for his role as Sgt. Joe Friday in the series “Dragnet,” and Pete Porter on “Pete and Gladys.”

Morgan’s son Charles confirmed his death, adding that Morgan had been recently treated for pneumonia. The official cause of death has not yet been released.
